System prompt extraction reveals business logic
Your Azure OpenAI application's system prompt contains business logic, access credentials, and behavioral instructions. Through carefully crafted conversations, attackers extract the complete system prompt - revealing your pricing logic, internal API endpoints, and security rules. Content Safety filters don't protect against this.
Conversation history as attack surface
Chat applications store conversation history in Azure Blob Storage or Cosmos DB. A misconfigured SAS token or RBAC policy exposes months of customer conversations - including PII, internal information the bot shared, and potentially sensitive business data. The AI didn't leak it directly - the storage did.
